Insidious Last Key Review, Loop explained.

Well Insidious movie series are one of the best among Horror movies, along with Conjuring and others. Recently released Insidious: The Last Key (release date 5th Jan 2018) kind of ends the Insidious story, looping back to Insidious (2010). It loops back to the original Insidious along through other Insidious series (chapter-2 and chapter-3) explaining all its characters (including spirits).

1)Insidious: The Last Key.

Chronologically this will be the second chapter of Insidious, where Elise defeats the keyface demon. Then she opens few red doors in the spirit world, which sets up events in motion for Insidious chapter 1 and 2. But you cannot find any connections with other demons in the Insidious series.

Though the Lipstick-Face Demon of Insidious chapter 1 might be linked with the Key-Face demon. Since these both demons chained their captives, they can be related. Other than that, this chapter plots just at Elise childhood and doesn’t relates itself with other chapter.

But at the end of the chapter they does show Elise finding Dalton in one of the doors. And its not that satisfactory.

2)Insidious Chapter 3.

Chronologically the first chapter of Insidious. The chapter where Elise meets Specs and Tucker(spirit catchers and Elise’s associates). You can find these two working along side with Elise in every other chapter, Thus making this chapter chronologically first.

This is the chapter where the Lipstick-Face Demon comes to action and plays a major role in Insidious-1. Thus creating a loop among its chapters. This is thus another reason for the last chapter of Insidious to slip out of the same track as other chapters.

Though The Man Who Can’t Breath Demon doesn’t out stand much, but plays a major role in connecting Elise with Specs and Tucker.

3)Insidious Chapter 1.

Chronologically the 3rd chapter of Insidious. There is nothing much of a twist or difficulty in the plot to understand. As this is the first chapter of Insidious released (2010) plots are quite straight through. Lipstick-Face demon haunts Dalton who is then rescued by Josh (Dalton’s father).

At the end of the chapter Elise gets killed by the spirit of an Old Woman, which is explained later in Chapter 2 of Insidious.

4)Insidious Chapter 2.

Chronologically 4th chapter of Insidious where Elise is killed by the spirit of The Old Woman (Bride in Black). The spirit of the Old Woman belongs to Parker Crane, an old patient of Lorraine (Grandmother of Dalton). The Old woman haunts Josh (Dalton’s Father)Elise suppress Josh’s ability and erases his memory of the Old Woman and saves him from her spirit.

But eventually The Old Woman haunts Elise. This can be noticed in both Chapter-1 and Chapter-3 where it attacks Elise. At the end of the First chapter Elise gets killed by the spirit of Old Woman and the plot continues through out the 2nd chapter. Thus placing it in the 4th place Chronologically.

At the end you can find Elise’s spirit helping Specs and Tucker fight evil spirits.

Well that does gives an end to Insidious, explaining almost all the scenarios and its characters. Thanks for reading, do checkout my other articles.
